The Fun of Playing Billiards at a Japanese Restaurant

It was June 22 2024, precisely on Saturday night. I spent the evening playing billiards at a Japanese restaurant in the South Jakarta area. This restaurant combines the beauty of Japanese architecture with various entertainment facilities, including a billiard table which was the main attraction for me that night.

When I entered the restaurant, I was greeted by the delicious aroma of Japanese cuisine. The elegant interior decoration with paper lamps, tatami floors and traditional Japanese ornaments makes it feel as if you are in Tokyo. However, what caught my attention the most was the billiards area in the corner of the room, which was surrounded by various old ornaments.

I walked towards the billiard table enthusiastically. It’s been a long time since I played billiards, and tonight I wanted to enjoy every moment while competing with my opponents. I took a billiard stick, felt its smooth surface in my hand, and began to position the balls on the green table.

The game started, I started the game with a solid shot, the balls spun and entered the holes smoothly.

Not far from the billiard table, there is a bar which serves various typical Japanese drinks. I decided to order a glass of cold wine, a drink that I felt was very suitable to accompany this special evening. While waiting for his order to arrive, he looked around and saw several other visitors who were also enjoying their evening, some were eating sushi, some were chatting warmly with their friends, and some were watching his billiards game with great interest.

The wine came just as I finished a game. I sat for a moment, sipped the drink, and felt a pleasant warmth spread through my body. Tonight felt so perfect. I think about how busy weekday life sometimes makes him forget to enjoy little things like this. An evening filled with simple games and a comfortable atmosphere can provide invaluable happiness.

After resting for a while, I continued playing billiards. This time, several other visitors joined and invited him to play together. Light conversation and laughter filled the air, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. I felt that even though I had only just met them that night, there was a bond of togetherness created through play and social interaction.

As time went by, the night grew deeper. I just realized that I had spent several hours in the restaurant, but strangely I didn’t feel tired at all. Instead, I felt refreshed and energized, ready to face the new challenges that would come in the following days. I am also very grateful to the visitors who have played with him and provided a pleasant experience.

When I left the restaurant, I felt satisfied and full of inspiration. This Saturday night spent at a Japanese restaurant taught me a valuable lesson about how important it is for everyone to take time for themselves, enjoy simple moments, and find happiness in the little things.
